I have issues (http://www.dbstalk.com/showpost.php?p=1228715&postcount=20) and was wondering if someone from philly could post their readings for all the satellites (or give me a hint as to where to find this info)

Today the installer gave me a lot of mish-mashed information and I was just figuring what better place to find out which xponders i am and am not supposed to be getting in. I have some which conk out to zero every once in a while and he had no clue why and suggested I talk to a supervisor or directv. But last time i talked to directv 2nd level support, that woman had no ideas what was what either.

on the 99, anyone getting 0 then 100 on xponder 1? I assume it should be a signal but unless my meter is zany, sometimes it's just not working.

The tech told me they are constantly changing the satellites around so what works today may not be there tomorrow..honest..thats what he said.

Oh he also said they move them around to thwart piracy, i never new !

They in fact do move channels around from transponder to transponder and sometimes even between sats. Signal strenghts due vary for many different reasons, but not usually from 100 to 0. 99 is all spotbeam, so it will be different around the country so someone from your immediate area would have to compare.

but not tuner to tuner right? :) I have some issues with that and am trying to nail them down.

I had no idea they switched around xpoders. They should tell directvs techs on the phone that. She didnt know when i asked about them
