rca dwd490re I have only one line in right now and when I want to change transponders it will with no problem but when I choose DONE and back out of it and then re-enter it is always back at transponder 1 ? How do you set this? Never had trouble with my older RCA's

If I manually put it on transponder 3 and leave it then when I return back to the signal menu will it still be on 3? if not then is it possible to do this? or does it always return to number 1 or the best transponder available?

afaik, on dish network recievers, the signal screen is only for troubleshooting sats/transponders... not for selecting any settings. it will usually show you the sat/transponder of the last tv channel you were watching.

I am not sure what you are trying to accomplish, but the receiver changes transponders when needed, i.e. to tune different channels. The signal strength screen is for aligning your dish and checking the signal strength, and not for setting which transponder your receiver tunes to. It resets to transponder 1 when you switch to that screen.
