To make a long story short, I am trying to get one D* payment per credit card statement for consistency. D* charges my account right by my statement date, and sometimes it posts after the statement and sometimes before. Yes, the payments eventually balance out, but I really only want one per month. :) I also want to use this card because charging it earns me about $50 a year towards a new car. Changing the credit card statement date isn't an option right now... long story.
My question: does it really matter if you have autobill when it comes time to call up for a good deal if you pay your bill right after you receive your statement?
Thanks.

How about paying them manually online at directv.com with the card? I find this option offers the most customization :)

Same as the guy above me, do it yourself online each month. I do.

When you have auto bill pay set up with a credit card with d* - it comes out around the same date each month, the same date your bill is generated.
Mine is on the 22nd - my payment is taken out before I can even see the bill online.

I have never had a problem getting deals from Directv, and I have been late with my payments, but I have been with Directv over 7 years and my bill is about $125.00 month.

Have you asked D* to adjust your billing/statement date?

Personally I do not autobill, but when I get the e-mail, I pay electronically. It works for me, maybe it will work for you.

Does that mean it will take 500 years to earn a new car?
