I just installed my dish and HR20-700 and I can see all my normal channels however I can not see many HD channels. I think I can see like a handful of HD channels. Science HD, Toon HD, Food HD, HGTV HD, A&E HD and a few more. My point is that I can't see any ESPN HD, Starz HD, HBO HD, National Geographic HD, Animal PLanet HD and lots more I wanna see.

D* says it may be the multiswitch. I currently have a Zinwell 4x8 I think. D* says I should have a wide band multiswitch. No where on my current one does it say wideband.

Could this really cause a "searching for signal (771)" and prevent me from seeing the remaining channels?

Or you think something else?

You need an Zinwell WB68 6x8 multi-switch. Call DirecTV back. they should have installed it when they installed everything else. It is a free upgrade.

You need a Zinwell WB68 multiswitch. Also, make sure you have the B-Band convert hooked up to the back of your receiver.

I installed myself after 3 missed and no called appointments from a company called Skylink. I was tired of getting stood up, went to CC and bought all my stuff and will submit bill to D*. Long story short..i called and they said they would send out some tomorrow morning to replace multiswitch. 1. Hope they show up this time. 2. hope it fixes my problem.
