What other equipment are you getting? You may not need a multiswitch.

The times for last two installs I have seen, one of mine and then my dad's, were not correct on the website.

I called and confirmed the time.

I had this same time slot last week to add a R15. They called at 8 and said they had a meeting :nono: and would be there about 8:30. Another guy called at 8:30 and said he didn't know what happened and he'd be there at 9. He showed up at 9 and the work order said 1st slot of the day, so I wouldn't expect them before 8 FWIW.

I had a couple of missed 8-12 AM appointments last week and when they rescheduled me, they set mine for 6-8AM. The guy called a little before 7:00 and was there by 7:15, just as it was getting light enough to see well outside.

I think they have that slot to just to denote that you are hte first install of the day.

Remember, all installers like donuts.

Agreed. They are overbooked and trying to fit people in any place they can.

Personnally I'd take it, because if they are not there by 8am you can start to call and see what is going on, with enough time to maybe get a problem corrected.

It's better than waiting until December 6, right?

My installer liked beer.
No joke, we had a cold one together.

What was the line from The Simpsons? "Can you be home from 1:00 PM Thursday until forever?".

Prolly not a good idea to offer him a brew at 6 am though - unless of course you're having one.

Call the automated phone line for rescheduling it always seems to be much, much more up-to-date than the website.

After I retired, I regularly frequented a local place for breakfast and the morning
paper. Every weekday morning, service trucks from a nearby Sears warehouse
would drive up around 8:30 and the service guys wouldn't start their day until
around 10 a.m.

I despise that 0600-0800 time frame.

Them: Oh, you can't go in that room. Jr is sleeping.

Me: Is that where you are having the problem?

Them: Yes

Me: Then I need to go in there so I can figure out what the problem is.

Them: Hmmpf...Fine....Jr. get your a@@ out of bed, the cable guy needs to get in your room.

Me:

Here is a free tip. If you want to sleep in until noon, DO NOT pick the 0600-0800 or the 0800-1200 time frame. :nono2:

Thanks All,

I did call to confirm the time. CSR says 8-12a:nono: I say going to bed early.

Told work was waiting for Cable Guy 8-12a, would be in late. They said see you Thursday.:nono2:

Went thru the checklist with CSR, looks good so far.

Ready for the perfect install!

Multiswitches will never be on your online order, unless you can see a comment the DTV rep wrote on it... Which I doubt.

Multiswitches are NOT handled but DTV, they come from the local office, if you need one, the tech installs it, if you dont, he doesnt.
