Will this enable me to run GTA3 on PC. Over the summer I bowarred and attempted to install Grand Theft Auto 3 for PC, but in the process on installation I was flooded with errors, about DirectX I downloaded v8 but it didn't do anything. I'm not into gaming I just want GTA.

Give it a shot. Should support all games that support DirectX8.

I'll give it a try next week, when I can borrow my friends GTA3 CD again

James, why? I was reading a review about the Radeon 9700 yesterday and the issue in the review was that while the card would used DirectX 9.0, there were no programs that utilized it at this time.

True, but I'm looking at it as a "better" version of 8.1. It can only get better, right? :D

There is always that possibility. This is a version that ends with a "0" right? They always work without a hitch don't they? :D

I just hope the game makers have learned to stop making their software dependend on a specific version of DirectX.
