I am a current DTV subscriber with SD non DVR receivers. I will soon be getting a HD TV and will upgrate to HD DTV with a DVR. Which receiver will I get (HR20, HR21, others?)? Which receiver would be best and can I request a certain one? Does the new receiver require 2 coax feeds from the dish? If so, I'll need to add another line into my family room.

I also want to add a large esata drive. Since this blocks the dvr form seeing the internal drive, should I install the esata drive right away so that the internal drive does not fill up with recording that I can no longer access once the esata is installed?

Any other tips I should know before ordering my setup?

HR-20 or HR21:
the HR-20 is silver and the HR-21 is black.
The HR-20 has an off air tuner [if you have an antenna] and the HR-21 doesn't.
Yes, you will need two coax lines to have both tuners working. You will also need a new dish so when it's installed [free] they should run your second line then. If you want a nice install that is "fished" through your walls, it might be a good idea to do that yourself.
I'd go through all of the setup and software updating before connecting the eSATA, but yes connect it before you start recording your shows to watch later.
