View Full Version : Bad grounding block???
I have been having problems with my local HD channels temporarily going to nothing but a grey screen. I checked my alignment of my dish using an acutrac22 meter and have a reading of around 96. If I hook the cable from the dish thru the grounding block then hook to cable from the meter to the other end I get absolutely nothing. But when I bypass the grounding block my signal is back to around 96.....does this sound right to anyone?? I've never heard of a bad grounding block.

A grounding block can definitely be bad. I had a bad one right from the start with the slimline dish install. 2 of the 4 feeds were dead. I bypassed grounding block to test and had signals in the mid 90's all around on all 4 cables. I don't know why but they certainly can be bad.

For a few buck you can swap another ground block in and see if it helps.
