Well below are some Details from the latest Dec 19th (aka Dec 20th) chat...It was actually pretty good (better then latest Charlie chat - but anything is/would be better then Latest Charlie chat - lol)

Charlie starts talking: I am sure ppl have read it, but the merger is dead...etc, etc.we paid the break up fee (600 mil) and now the life is going on...and we weren't able to make a deal for the Pan Am sat..so life goes on.. - unfortunat for industry..
without merger - we still have Piracy, broadband, competition from cable...but we ll go back to "drawing board" and look how we address piracy, broadband, etc...( we ll look what could be done in those areas), we ll look at ideas..thought merger was a good idea, but...As far as retailers - of course you guys know that few Billions of Dollars will not flow into your pockets now..for upgrades..cuz it will not be nessesary now..Lots of money would have flow, but will not..but on another hand consumer will have a choice now..
Jim - we ll be here as always, working hard
Charile - we came out from Merger process much stronger then we went in..we went and raised capital, and cuz of merger didn't go through..now we are left with excess cash..several billion of excess cash..and from capacity point of view - we are much stronger then DTV, in a short term - we ll be able more locals, etc.
We ll find ways to compete..for 23 years we found ways to compete...very important team summit this year..we ll talk a lot there...so come out for team summit
Jim - yup..23 years..we just reached 8 million subscribers..now we can go for 9 million goal..

TNT
Charlie - we had some problems with TNT..but now i am more optimistic about TNT..we had good relations with TNT over the years..and i am pretty sure they ll remain with us..much more optimistic about TNT then before..Second service - New England sports Net..Boston bruins and Red sox...they want big increase..we are still talking to them, but not too optimistic about them staying on..we still have couple of weeks to go, but do not be surpised if you do not see them after Jan1, 2003...we gotto be fair from all the sides - if we do not carry something like that - the prices could be lower...and we might lose some customer, but we can gain much more customers, cuz of atractive price...so it is a strategy game...90 percent do not care about it as other 10 percent do..and 90 percent would not want to pay extra to have it, etc..
Jim - ok locals, Des Moines just joined.., Colorado Springs..., Dec 10th we launched Spokane, Dec 19th (today) we launched Louisville...Ok - 54 Local cities now, charlie...What else can we expect? (Retailers always interested to know where we stand with locals)
Charie - well we are moving things around over the holidays,
then we ll be able to add half a dosen new cities very earlie part of Next year, we ll have some annoucements during CES in early January ( CES - Consumer Electronic Show, Jan 9 to 12, 2003, Las Vegas, Booth # 25167)....we ll have few more cities..will depends at retransmission consent, etc.. - example we had a choice of lobo (lovo?) or memphis or lexington, for example - and we could not get retransmission consent in Lexington, so Lovo(Lobo, Globo - lol???) got the Nod..and just we would have done any of those cities, but those kinda things can prevent us from doing one or another...or know exactly where we going, but we will have few more cities that will be pretty geographically disbursed among the country...Sometimes you get an "odd ball" city out there, ex - it could be not even among top 100 cities, but cuz we had some extra capacity at that location, that can't be used for anything else - this city gets the Nod..so that is also a factor..
Charlie - 54 cities! - is this the most anyone has? - Yes...So it is even more then our competition then..!
