I currently have Plus HD DVR w/ HBO, SHO, & Starz w/locals.
I have an HR20-700, 2 DTivos, and one standard receiver.

Would I be better served by just getting the Premier Package and pay slightly more? How much would it be with all of my additional equipment?

My Current Bill:

Total Choice Plus 51.99
10/20 11/19 HBO, SHOWTIME, and Starz Monthly 34.00
10/20 11/19 HD Access Monthly 9.99
10/20 11/19 DIRECTV DVR Service Monthly 5.99
Fees

10/21 Additional Receiver 4.99
10/21 Additional Receiver 4.99
10/21 Leased Receiver 4.99 + tax

TOTAL: $117.29

So, just so i have this straight; I'd also get TMC, Cinemax, & Sports channels for only an additional $13?

Yes. But just to clarify it is the sports pack. Not the premium sports channels like NFL Sunday Ticket and etc.

Thanks, I was aware of the sports pack info - seems worth it to me! :)

Would I also need to pay the 4.99 HD fee for the few select channels when that goes into effect, or do premier members get that included in their HD packaging?

Yes you have to pay that also. That will be added to all packages.

You already get TMC (The Movie Channel). It's part of Showtime Unlimited which you said you already get. All you would be adding is Cinemax (3 channels of which 2 are duplicates) and Sports Pack. If you aren't a sports fanatic, it doesn't seem like a wise move.

If you had Premier package before July 12th you don't pay the DVR fee.

But if you added the Premier package after that date or if you are a new customer getting the Premier package you have to pay the DVR fee.

I can wrap my head around the extra $5 to bring back the channels migrated to the new package, but less so if it moves me out of my current free DVR charge and costs me another $5 to do so.

If you have the Premier package with the free DVR fee you will keep it. You will just add the extra HD charge.

Even if you ARE a sports fanatic those channels aren't worth it. About half those channels are FSN which show the same shows throught the network when games aren't on (and a few local shows). So if you already have a FSN as part of your local package then you've got most of what is offered on the other FSNs. As for the other RSN that aren't FSN, there's a lot of syndicated stuff that is carried by other nets and some localized stuff. Since so much of the original stuff is blacked out, there's probably only a couple of shows you might find interesting. As a sports fanatic, I dropped the RSN package fairly early on. So to me, unless those three Skinamax stations mean a whole lot to you, Premeir is not worth it now that you don't get a break on the DVR access.
