The other night had no HD locals. Rebooted and still none. Called D and they resent a signal 3 times and then finally came back on. She said they were going to setup a service call to look at things. Tech showed up Friday and I told him what had happened. He then took the remote and looked at Sat strenghts and 103b were all in the 69-74 ranges. All the other Sats were at 85-95. So tech said oh its just your BBC's. So he changed them out and then I started getting the 771 signal. So he rebooted and the channels came back up. He asked if he could look at my Sat and I took him to the backyard and he stood there on my patio and looked up and said it was fine, never once getting a ladder to go up to it. I asked him to tweak the 103b and he said those were good signals and should not give me any problem. Then last night I turn on my tv to find the 771 again and had to reboot and they came back up. What do you think is going on?

You need to call DirecTV and have them send out a tech to realign you dish. Your signals are to low on 103b.
When the tech come make sure you signals are at least in the mid to high 80's on 103b.

69 to 74 is pretty poor alignment... He needed to properly peak your dish.. I realy wish D* would train their installers better :(

Yes, because you signals drops a little from what it normally is and then it is way to low. That is why it comes and goes.

I will call D again and tell them I need another call. I just took out the protection plan at the first of this month. She told me the she would have this call setup for free since I had not had it a full month. This tech was more involved telling he was a certified jeweler and gemoligist than taking care of my problem.

Update:
Tech showed up today. I told him I wanted my signal peaked and I wanted him to inspect my dish. Im glad he did. I had the side car dish and it had water damage, no boots were on the connectors and had damaged them to where he just good pull the lines out of the connectors. He then just took off everything and installed the new slimline dish and re-adjusted my signals and now I have 95-98 and higher all across the board. Im happy now.
