I've heard many good things about these guys; but my question is regarding their preowned equipment. Does anyone have any experience with preowned equipment bought from them? If so, any problems? If I purchase a pre-owned receiver from them, do I have to activate it as my main receiver or can it be a secondary receiver? Will my purchase obligate me into some sort of contract with them? Thanks

I bought a pre-owned DishPlayer from them several years ago (1 1/2 to 2). It is still working like a charm (well, as much of a charm as a dishplayer can be!). No issues with it.
I have ordered new receivers from them also, no problems, and they are a pleasure to work with.

I don't like to buy pre-owned receivers because you are disqualified from getting great promotions like Free-For-All. Why would you PAY for preowned garbage without and install when you can get a brand new 2 receiver system(with 2 301s) from someone like me for under a $90 installed, and then get $17/month off your programming for 1 year.
BTW: THIS ISN'T AN ADVERTISEMENT
I ONLY DO BUSINESS IN 4 SUBURBS OF DETROIT. I DON'T SHIP OUT SYSTEMS.
NO FLAMES. THIS THREAD IS ITSELF AN ADVERTISEMENT FOR DISH DEPOT, SO NO FLAMES

Jeffwtux, Maybe rowdymon is already a subscriber and does not qualify for those great new subscriber deals.

Bingo! I am already a subscriber; no great promotions for me. BTW, I went ahead and ordered from dishdepot (Mark emailed me back within the hour about my question; very professional). I will probably buy from them again.
