Hello,

I hope this isn't the wrong place for this question. I have two receivers connected to a 1000.2 dish. One receiver is a 311 std receiver and the other is a VIP211 High Definition receiver. Cables are about the same length 75'

The 311 shows: 119 - 120%, 110 - 110%, 129 - 75%

The VIP 211 shows: 119 - 75%, 110 - 60%, 129 - 45%

Is there a reason the VIP 211 shows a weaker signal when they are on the same dish? The original legacy receiver that was in the same place as the VIP 211 also showed a higher signal.

I do not have the high def package. Just the digital signal.

Thanks,
Ed

Dish Network has released new firmware for some receiver models that changes the way signal strength is calculated. The new scale only goes to 100 where the old scale went to 125.

If my standard receiver is showing great signal strength should I bother trying to adjust the dish for the receiver that shows a lower signal strength?

I guess I can't get any better. With the new firmware, do you have any idea what is a good signal strength?

Thanks,
Ed

What you are getting looks about right.
