Hi Folks,

I'm wondering if there is a way of connecting an analog flat panel monitor I have, to my HR20 for use when I need to configure something or set a recording and I don't want to fire up the projector in my theater. I would mount them monitor in the back of my rack in the equipment room. Obviously, the monitor has the standard analog connector on it. So, that's going going to plug into the HR20. Any converters or something I can use to facilitate the connection?

Thanks for any ideas!

You can try this - component to vga cable: http://www.ramelectronics.net/html/vga-rgb-component.html

Thanks! Great idea if it would work. After reading there and on monoprice.com, I don't think it will work. Which is a bummer. I'll keep reading though. Thanks for the pointer.

More expensive, but it looks like a converter might work: http://www.ramelectronics.net/html/video-vga-gvm-2000.html

Or other options: http://www.ramelectronics.net/html/video-to-vga.html

I'm just using ram electronics as an example, I'm sure other sites, like monoprice have similar solutions.

Yeah, that looks like it should work. That's a bit more than I was hoping to spend, but I think it's still worth it.

Thanks again!
