Cartoon Network expands offbeat 'Adult Swim'
In 2003, Cartoon Network is growing up and moving out.
Its "Adult Swim" animation block - the late-night weekend programming aimed at an 18-to-34-year-old audience - is going five nights a week as of 11 p.m. Jan. 12.
As a primer of what's to come, a best of "Adult Swim" will anchor the cable channel's New Year's Eve programming, starting at 11 p.m. on Dec. 31. This also takes advantage of the growing number of adults who'd rather stay at home than party.
