The game last night was fullscreen HD. It was a feed from FSN Ohio.
Most of the shows that were NHL Network produced programming that I saw were pillared.

Yes it did.
Too bad the in-studio stuff is not HD but upconverted SD. I guess they aren't actually set up for HD yet.

Hopefully they will get there. In the meantime not only is the feed not HD, but the set looks pretty low-budget too.

What game did you get last night on #215 if I may ask? And it was in HD also?

Since the content is coming from the Canadian NHL Network -- and they are SD-only with no definite plans I know of to go HD soon -- we may be waiting for awhile, unfortunately.

Blue Jackets @ Kings was on 215 in HD.

The game was blacked out for me in So Cal. Too bad FSN West shows their games in SD on their HD channel.

Oh, OK. I got a little worried that an earlier game should had been on. I was watching the 83' Stanley Cup Finals replay earlier last night, and thought I might have missed something. Since I am on the east coast, that was the late game......thanks!:feelbette

Nah, earlier they had the usual nightly "On the Fly" show in (upconverted) SD. (Boy, an HD version of that would be very nice.)

I'll take anything I can get at this point.....as long as they give us as much hockey as possible in HD, then I'm a happy camper....:)

NHL Channel is a double-edged sword.
We have gotten games that are not in HD on CI (because they are on an RSN that either doesn't show HD or is not up yet on DirecTV).
But the games we are getting will eventually be RSN and/or CI games that are already bought and paid for.
Only real benefit (other than the non-game stuff) is to non-CI customers.

Ditto. I was hoping they would pick up HD broadcasts that aren't already being offered to Center Ice customers, like TSN-HD, CBC-HD, etc.

They may pick up others but I would also hope that a lot of those feeds in HD would eventually get picked up by CI as well. CI SD picks up feeds from non-RSNs all the time. Be better if they got games that were not covered in HD somewhere else.
Oh well, for now, it means more hockey in HD than we currently get.
