Help!

I am needing help setting up my surround sound for my DVD player and
television. I bought a Bose DVD player with Surround sound and I want to
use my other DVD player as well because it is a Sony multi disk and I use it
for a stereo, but I am having trouble hooking the two up together through my
Onkyo reciever and figuring out how to use it with my television also. I
would appreciate your help. Thanks

It is hard to tell from your post, how things are set up.

I have a Onkyo HT-R500 and send my DVD and Dish 6000 audio to the receiver via optical cables. I use RCA cables for my Dish 501 and VCR.

You have to change the assignments of the digital inputs to the input sources of the Onkyo (Video 1-2-3 and DVD). Hopefully you have your instruction manual.

I do not run any of my video sources through my Onkyo. I run them directly to my HDTV along with a second set of audio inputs. I do this because there are times I don't want to listen to surround sound (local news, etc).

If you can describe how you are connecting your equipment, we might be able to be more help.
