I have a Dish 500 (original with a pair of Dual LNBs) and a Dish 300 (dual LNB). I got the 300 installed free so I could get the locals on 61.5.

At the time of the 2nd dish install, I only had two receivers activated, using a pair of SW-21s. The installer put in an SW-44, and cascaded the SW-21s. I insisted that he run another pair of cables down to the basement, so I could activate another receiver from the other outputs of the SW-44.

Now I've got a 721 and a DP, so the DP isn't getting the 61.5 sat. I'm about to change the DP over to a 508, I think.

What's the best way to get all three birds to all the receivers? I can either switch out the SW-44 and SW-21s for an SW-64, or I could switch the LNBs too and go to an SW-34.

Anyone willing to take an SW-44 and two SW-21s on trade for an SW-64?

I would go with Dish Pro LNB's and the SW34, its much cleaner and requires less over all cabling and more easily expandable, longer cable runs, etc, if you add more receivers or more dual tuner receivers down the road. However if you have any legacy receivers 4-5-6000 series or older, you need a DishPro adaptor to make them work..

First of all there are no SW-34s they are DP-34s, SW are legacy switches DPs are Dish Pro switches. DP & SWs can't be used togther they are not compatible. A SW-64 would be cheaper than buying 3 Dish Pro single LNBFs and a DP-34 unless there are definite plans to expand the system.
