View Full Version : New HR21-700 Locked up

I believe the O/S is 0x18a and this is what it came with. The unit was on overnight...played an XM channel this morning...Came back about 16 hours later and the same XM ch was on....when I tried to switch over, is see menus fine, it changes channels and gave the guide and data, but never gave a picture...I turned on than off using power, which didn't fix it....then i ran a reset from the setup menu....It is stuck on Just a few more....WTF...I will check it in the morning, i assume it might be doing an update and just not announcing it...

Any idea's...

You may want to force an update to a newer firmware version - 16D. Via the setup menu...select reset....reset receiver...press the dash key....AS SOON AS THE WELCOME SCREEN COMES UP...press 0...2...4...6...8 in sequence and it should download version 16D. That newer version did corrent a number of issues.

Sinve there are updates done at various times, you may want to do this on Monday...

It was still locked up at noon....I removed power and reapplied...it started back up. Problem with 16d is the same symptoms are being reported

Any other ideas...Anyone.....????
