DISH thru AT&T - use old DirecTV dish?

I'm having DISH Network installed in a few weeks through AT&T.

The order taker mentioned that they may use my existing DirecTV dish that is on the roof.

I don't necessary mind this, I'm just curious if they really do that.

For 110 and 119, but nothing else.

D* has 110 and 119 frequencies too.

D*'s main programming is on 101 and their Phase III dish has an odd setup that E* receivers do not work with.

Perhaps they will reuse the mount (if they can) but they shouldn't reuse the dish.

They meant that the installer might use the existing D* mount.
