I want to give my HR-20 music/photo streaming and DOD higher priority with my bandwidth but am not sure what service to choose in the DD-WRT firmware or if I need to create one...I use WMP11 for streaming...what type of service is DOD? It's not http or ftp correct?
I'm not sure what the port numbers are. Maybe someone here knows. But I just set it so that any traffic on any port to the IP address of my HR20's is of "High" priority. The only things I've got higher are DNS, small HTTP requests, and some voice channels my kids use for gaming.
I jumped from DD-WRT to tomato recently. It's more reliable and throughput is better (at least on my buffalo router). It has some really nice graphing and tabular output for QOS and bandwidth usage. You might want to give it a try.

I've been tolds the HR20 uses port 80 which makes QOS based on port numbers difficult
DSM has it right, setup QOS based the IP address of your HR-20, or you can try the MAC address.
