About once a month, for not apprent reason, my H20-100 will just automatically reboot itself. Nothing is ever lost and everything is ok afterwards. Does anybody else ever have this to happen or know what might cause it? I usually check immediately to see if *D sent an update but that has not been the case. As best I can tell, it started this past summer.

I notice it about every month or so and just thought it was incremental firmware updates.

Now you got me wondering.

I was about to watch Joe Gibbs live, just heard a click and then the dark screen, then the searching for channels. I was thinking an update of some sort. Only problem, I missed what Joe said!

If he was talking to Theisman, it probably wasn't live. ;)

Awhile ago one of the models of H20's had issues with heat and random reboots. I can't remember if it was the -100 or -600.

An update though is going to prompt you and they typically come in the middle of the night.

I do remember problems with the 600. They would be ok for about 6 months then the reboots were a pre-curser to more and more drop outs and reboots, then death! My H20 arrived in Sept. 2006 and these reboots started, as best I can remember around July this year. I had the slimline installed last month and was thinking maybe it was the bad lnb on the old dish that was causing the reboots but guess not. The box doesn't really get hot. The one constant thing is that every time it happens I am watching a *D local HD station.
