HI! I am using the Starband 360 which is connected to my PC via USB and then I have one wireless laptop connected to it. I have been wanting to add serveral other PCs to the network but have not been able to get it working.

I read a post about chaning the 360 to LAN output and then being able to connect a router directly to it. What are the pros and cons of this. And can somebody either give me some instructions or provide some links?

Thank you very much!!

The 360 has to go directly into your main computer. Go out of this computer to your router. If you don't have it already, upgrade to XP or Win 2000 on your main machine and use Internet sharing and all should go well. If you use WinME or 98, Internet sharing will not work properly with Starband and you will have to use Winproxy (which I have never seen work properly either). I tried for days to get SB to work properly with WinProxy for a customer using Win98 and had no luck. One of the TS guys at SB told me to try ICS with XP or 2000. The customer upgraded to 2000 and networking worked very well.

Hi Rking!

Thanks

Things have been working fine but since the mandatory SB software upgrade I cant seem to get my network back up. I have even had my IT buddy come by and he cant seem to get it going either.

The PCs see each other but I cant access the WWW. there is a Dlink wireless router out of the Main PC.

Id be very willing to pay for tech support or whatever it takes to get my network back up.

Any suggestions???

Thanks

Gregg
