I heard from another forum that E* is in current negotiation with Mark Cuban. In a recent interview, Mark Cuban has said that E* subscriber should call E* and ask for this channel.

I remember that Charlie said in October/November that they were in negotiations with HDnet but I haven't heard anything else from Charlie since then.

**********Please move this thread to the General Dish Network Discussion forum. This is where I meant to post it. Thanks.******

As of the other day, I understand that Cuban is still in negotians with E* (and DTV)...He has proposed a couple additional HDNET channels as well and is also negotiating that.

As far as him saying call E* and ask for the channel...I think he means call them and harass them so they cave in and sign a deal with him to carry it (and he gets his $'s).

He gets his $$$ we get forward movement on better HDTV deployment. I don't see a problem with this.

It will happen - just a question of when and how much.

Arthur C. Clarke and Gene Roddenberry had the right idea:

Give 'em a Hilton in orbit, a monolith buried on the moon, 4-on-the-floor warp drive. Then, let us get on with the real business at hand - daring to go where no man has gone before - High Definition TeleVision and HDNet. :)

And we ain't talkin' Howdy Doody, folks.

I didn't have time to read the whole thread yet, but Mark Cuban made another appearance on AVSForum the other day. His user name is mcuban.
