I'd like to see HBO Comedy and DD on every premium channel. I'd also like to see NY1 news and crosswalks NYC added to my locals package. But seeing as NY1 is owned and operated by Time Warner cable, the chance of that happening is slim.

I'd like to see Great American Country, HBO Comedy, and VH1 Country added.
Style
Anime network
GAC
Bet jazz, gospel and hip hop
Family net
Lifetime Reaa Women
Goodlife TV
Espn deportes(In english)
Wisdom tv and Angel One
Nicktoons and Nick g&s
KTLA, WSBK, WWOR, KWGN, WNET and TNT plus (superstations)
HBO comedy&zone
Sho Women, Next, Beyond and Family Zone
TMC XTRA(east & west)
Thrillermax, Actionmax, @max, Outermax(DTV is pitiful in this area)!
International channels
Tennis channel(whenever it debuts)
NHL Network
MLB NetworK(whenever it comes on line)
VH-1Country, soul, mega hits and UNO (english version)
BBC World
The Much Music subsidiaries...especially Sex TV
DMX Music to replace Music choice (Music Choice Doesn't have enough music channels...even my niece complains about it)!
Discovery HD Theater, Cinemax HD, EspnHD
That's all I can come up with for now. Is there any way we as DTV customers can put pressure on Programming to Add more channels to the line up?
Without big technology upgrades in compression schemes, I don't see how DISH or DirecTV will ever be able to offer locals in HD even with Spot Beam technology ... it just takes up soo much bandwidth. It seems that it would be at least 4 years off. I think you will see many major cable networks upgrading to HD within the next 2 years .... USA, TBS, WGN, Encore, Starz, TMC, TLC, etc ....
I want Dish Network to get the Yes Network... that is all!
Also Get rid of fox sports NY....

Goodlife Channel should be added. I would also like to see the MTV suites and VH-1 suites added as well. There is also a channel that has Highway To Heaven on it in which I would like to have added.
GoodLife has "Highway to Heaven"

Here's what I'd like to see on DirecTV:
Local/Regional:
CCSN-Philly,
WMGM, WTVE, and WBPH
(the missing Philly DMA stations which have mustcarry reservations anyways, meaning DirecTV HAS to make space for them, and already has allocations for them).
National:
HBO Comedy, Zone
Starz! Cinema, Family
MTV-VH1 Suite
CSPAN3
Ovation
GoodLife
Most of these channels probably wont get added. However, If NewsCorp acquires DirecTV, you'll see Murdoch wanting and getting CCSN rights for DirecTV. We might also see a cable channel with FOX O&O newscasts from across the country. Gannett is experimenting with this.
FOX News Channel will be made available to ParaTodos subscribers. Right now, its not in the ParaTodos package.
Its ODD why FOX News Channel, and Discovery Health, 2 very popular channels arent in the ParaTodos package. TechTV is also missing from even the highest of the ParaTodos packages, but Fine Living, NewsWorld and some rather new and niche, and not so popular channels (on less cable systems), made it in the package.
I hope the price of digital receivers goes down.

I have E-mailed D* several times about adding to their premium channel selection. All I get back is one of their prewritten (canned) replies that tell you nothing. E* is adding 2 more Max channels next month widening the gab even more, and Digital Cable blows D* away on premiums.
I don't believe D* has added a single premium channel since they bought out USSB five years ago. I don't consider Black Starz an add as they dropped another Starz feed at the same time.
With the exception of analog cable, Directv has the worst premium channel selection around. It's pitiful.

Digital Cable in the U.S. tends to carry more movie premiums than Digital Specialty Networks but here in Canada its just the opposite. We get tons of Digital Specialty Networks but not enough premium movie channels, but we do get 48 PPV channels.

BET Jazz and BBC World
 Yes, I believe DirecTV has the worst track record when it comes to premium channels. There's plenty that should be added…even if those channels were gradually phased into DirecTV's programming system. Due to a personal attempt by me to save money on my own monthly expenditures, I have made the choice to temporarily eliminate my subscription to premium services, most especially HBO, to which I had subscribed since I became a DirecTV customer in March 1998. I am amazed no additional premium channels have come in -- and, yes, Black Starz! should not be counted, given that it replaced a Starz! screen -- like more Cinemax (three -- one of which is a west-coast Cinemax feed -- is laughable!).
Since this post is about channels that oughta come in, let's pretend DirecTV made an announcement that seven (a lucky number) channels were being added. Here's the ones I would bring in if I ran DirecTV's programming department:
Premium: HBO Comedy, ActionMax, The Movie Channel Xtra, and if and when available, Sundance's spinoff that's an all-Documentary channel (is it Doc?).
Non-premium: Goodlife Television, CSPAN3, and BET Jazz.
I'd add plenty more than just the seven; however, I considered the limits. If you're wanting to know what channels that I'd add, well, they've already been mentioned by others. So, in that respect, the feeling is mutual. (MTV and VH1 suites, Great American Country, and a litany of other music-video channels; any and all news-based channels; and a consideration of those programming stations available on competitor Echostar, such as style! and Nickelodeon Games and Sports. This, of course, would be predictated on -- shall we pretend? -- plenty, plenty, plenty of available bandwidth.)
