If I had both a 721 and a 508, I know I'd have to set them to different Remote IDs so that the UHF remotes wouldn't interfere with each other.

Is it possible to set the Aux button the the Dish remote to control a Dish receiver on a different Remote ID than the one the remote is primary for?

I've been wanting this for a long time also -- as far as I have heard, you can't do it. Please prove me wrong somebody!

I have also suggested that if the remote could just toggle betweem address (a) and address (b), that would be good enough for me, but using the AUX would be even better!

I found by setting the Aux button on my 501 remote to 1-722, I could control a Dish receiver with it -- either my 501 or my 3700. I figured I'd set my 501 to address 2 and have the regular SAT button run it and have the Aux button run my 501 on address 1.

However, after switching the addresses I found that the Aux button then controlled only the address 2 device. The 722 code didn't operate as a Dish receiver on Address 1, but a Dish receiver on whatever address the remote was set to.

I couldn't do what I thought I was going to be able to. Anyway, does anyone know what the difference is in the signal of remotes set to different addresses? Or perhaps it is the receiver that distinguishes things?
