I could have sworn I got the Lakers last time they were on FSWHD, now it says not purchased. I'm in Utah and I have the sports pack. I get other sports channels fine. Should I call them?

Only if you also subscribe to the NBA League Pass too. You may have seen a game on that channel during 'sneak preview' week. Normally in Utah you should only see games on FSRockyMountain which I assume is the sports channel in your area. All other pro sports events are blacked out unless you have that particular sports package.

The RSN's in the sports pack will be blacked out for all pro sports. That's how they get their money because your forced to buy the NBA league pass to see out of market games.

That's ridiculous!

Yep, but money talks.

I called them before I saw your responses and I got transferred to technical support. They're puzzled and now I'm on hold. :)

Oh well, at least they canceled the sports pack and gave credited the early cancellation fee.

Yea, it sucks.

I live in Portland, OR now and am a fan of all Seattle teams because I lived there for 23 years. We share an RSN(Fox Sports Northwest) and because I live in the Blazers market, the Sonics games are blacked out. Yes, even on my own RSN.

Same RSN or not, the Trailblazers are your home team, not the Super Sonics. Here, Sabres and Rangers are both on MSG. Rangers games are blacked out as the Sabres are the home team.

That's ridiculous!

It is what it is: The SportsPack is a package of national sports channels (ESPNU, NBATV, etc.) and your local RSN(s). You can also see non-blacked out programming on other RSN's not belonging to your market. Likewise, you don't see all of these RSN's on your local cable co's programming guide because they only carry the local RSN(s)....

This is the most frequent question of new customers. No provider does a good job of explaining the set up.

- The basic package includes your local RSN or RSNs, with the games of your local teams included.

- The Sports Pack includes all of the other RSNs, with the MLB (live and tape), and live NBA, NHL, pre-season NFL, MLS, WNBA, and some college content blacked out.

- Likewise, the pay extra sesonal packages, such as MLBEI, etc, will not include your local team, even if you local RSN is not carrying that particular game.

- The Sports Pack, in terms of live events, only brings you extra college and non-major sports content. No additional games in the major sports. The only exception are small markets where you live between different major cities. For example, I get FSN-Ohio with the Cincinnati and Columbus teams, but the Sports Pack adds FSN-Pittsburgh for me, with the Pittsburgh teams.

This has been the set up, forever. The Sports Pack is not a package for extra pro sports for 99% of customers.

This package is a rip off. I am getting game not available in your area for the Cavs game, Orlando game, and the Boston vs New Jersey game. I live in DC.

Also, I am getting channel not purchased for ( 620, 621, 637, 638, 640, 624, etc). What channels did I purchase with the sports pack. It seems either its game not available or channel not purchased. My goodness, what am I paying for.

You need the NBA League Pass to see out of market games. The sports pack by itself doesn't get you the pro games.

You get ZERO out of market pro games with sports pack as SamC stated above to get pro sports you need to purchase the appropriate package such as NBA League Pass or NHL Center Ice.

Exactly what I explained just one post above yours. The package may, or may not, be to your taste, but, if one understands what one is buying, one can hardly say one has been "ripped off".

Indeed.

Heck, if the sports pack got us the games, why would we subscribe to the various league packages?
