Menu > Help & Setup > Setup > Display > Preferences

I believe it's the 3rd or 4th option in that menu

I just got an HR21-700. Does this feature exist for that unit.

Only way to find out is by doing it lol. I don't have an HR21 or I would look for you. :)

Yes

I also have a HR21-700, but I don't see the Hide SD Duplicates option

When I go to Menu->Help and Settings->Setup->Display, in the Preferences tab there are only 4 settings- Scrolling Effects, Banner Time, Language and GUIDE Keypress. I have software version 0x193.

I didn't see that feature either. Do you have to be running a CE for that or is it supposed to be in the NR.

You're right, I got lost between the three receivers I have and that I'm using a favorites guide with them removed.

Sorry I should have qualified. I have accomplished this task on my HR20. I now have an HR21 on my basement TV and wanted to know if I had the same option.

The easiest way I have found is to create a new Favorites Menu.

Menu --> Favorites --> Edit Settings

You can add and delete channels to your custom menu as well as change its name. I have one custom menu with my wife's preferred channels and one with all channels that I would even remotely watch with the PPV, etc removed. You can always switch back to the ALL channel visible menu to locate any other channel.

HTH!

The option is on my HR21-700 using CE 0x1e1.
