Hi all, I'm trying to record a local news broadcast throughout the day, every day, but just keep the last one recorded. So I select a future newscast from the guide and when I select Episodes, it lists all of the newscasts I want throughout the day, every day of the week. Perfect. So I go on to select Rec. Series, Episode Type: Both, Keep at Most: 1 Episode and Keep Until: Disk Full.

Anyone see anything wrong with this?

The problem is, I've tried to set this up many times and the Priortizer only ever shows only 1 Episode and sure enough, it only records that one newscast. The Priortizer then indicates None Scheduled for that entry.

This seems pretty basic to me. What the heck am I doing wrong? It's behaving how I would expect it to behave if I selected Keep Until I Delete.

Do a recurring manual recording for that time slot. In the menu on the left side od the "to do" page there is a "manual" choice. From there you can set up a manual recording.

that's how I do my local news.. have one set for 7:30, one for 12:00, one for 6:00, and one for 11:30.. works fine..
What news program are you trying to record?

Yes, I tried a manual recording for one of the time slots and it appears to work, but I don't see a way to cap it (noted by others in the forums, I see) and each time slot takes up one semi-precious Scheduler slot...

I'm just trying to record the "Channel 4 News" throughout the day, every day and keep the latest one. It's listed in the Guide exactly like that--searches pick up all of the time slots (including the ones on the alternate channel) and Episodes picks up all of the time slots on the channel I want.

Thanks for the suggestions fellas, but since you also appear to be working around the issue, might I assume you would agree that this is broken? Guess I'll make an entry in the 0x18b issues thread...
