Any way to delete the entire log at once as opposed to deleting one by one which is a pain in my ash.

+1
If there is, I want to know about it !
If not, it should be an enhancement request = "Clear ALL"

I'm only asking this because I'm curious but why is this important? Why bother clearing it at all?

I doubt that it's really important - probably more of a pet-peave. I too would like to clear the log just because I'm that way. One thing I've tried to mention before is to make Messages in a different spot than at the very bottom of the Call Log... They're a pain to get to - when we actually do get one. :)
Note: I do see they created a separate spot for Messages under the CID Settings Menu.

EASY Fix!
Just stop having your mistress call your land line

It only stores the past 25 calls, so most folks don't bother to delete anything. But it would be nice if you could clear them all at once.

EASY Fix!
Just stop having your mistress call your land lineFunny, but it does illustrate the problem with a "feature" that tattles on you. A roommate whose line is used for the living room TV, for example, may not want his/her caller info so accessible. Can Caller ID be totally disabled? If not, why not?
One problem (I think) that is associated with reaching the 25 call limit is the caller i.d. function stops working - Several times I've had to clear the list and then do a restart to get the phone to test o.k. and get caller i.d. working again...

Does a bear #### in the woods?
Our CID also works when the unit is in standby - makes no difference about the woods, or the bear :sure:
I'm another one looking to find out if it is possible to delete all the calls at the same time.

...oh but it is still important. I've been talking about this for months, the fact that the log does not always drop the oldest call. This then causes your on screen caller ID to stop working and forces you to manually clean the thing out. DTV has made several attempts to fix this and have been somewhat successful, but I just noticed it happening again to one of my HR-21 700.
