View Full Version : CIR bug of the D* plus line related to rebooting 6.3e?
I wonder if there is a relationship between the 6.3e reboots and D* adding the CIG feature to the HR20. The timing is about the same and the CIG bug is suposedly because of an incompatibility with legacy receivers.
I believe the same thing. Last year, the Tivos were going bonkers because of guide data changes. It was noted here that D* removed the changes to guide data and all Tivos started behaving again.

It's not impossible but I doubt you'll get anyone to admit to it.

Doesn't seem very likely. But I suppose anything's possible.

Given that CIR was enabled for about 6 months on the R15 when it was first introduced.... and there wasn't the same problem.
I don't think it is CIR related..
The strangest thing about the reboots is that so many folks are reporting it happening mostly with CBS broadcasts. I know, from personal experience, that nearly all shows I recorded on CBS were partial recordings for several weeks. The HR10-250 is now used mainly for viewing in my home office, not as the centerpiece for my home theater.

I didn't realize the change was made that far back in the R15.
