Sat 103(a) question

on my HR20-700 i notice that on sat 103(a) there is more transponders on now but i dont get any signal on them all i get signal on is transponders 2 (signal 73%), 4 (signal 74%, 6 (signal 59%) and 17 (signal 96%) the rest are all 0's. is this normal? the 103(b) gets good signal all them are in the low 90's

SAT 103a is a spot beam SAT. So if you don't receive your MPEG4 HD locals from that SAT you will either get all 0's or if you are close enough to another city that does use 103a you will pick up low signals.

Yes, it's normal. 103a sat is for HD locals and the signals are spotbeamed to certain areas of the country. You must be just outside some of those spotbeams.
