View Full Version : Joe Nuxhall RIP
Growing up in Cincinnati and listening to Marty and Joe on WLW for many years, it is a sad time for many Tri-State baseball fans. :(

I have to come to this Forum to learn everything  I hadn't heard about Nuxxy's death :( I like your post. It's just right for the situation :righton:
The Ol' Lefthander started broadcasting with the Reds the same year I moved to Cincinnati as a teenager.
We have spent a lot of time together since...May God Bless you and keep you, Joe!!!...
Rounding third and heading for heaven.....and condolences to the family...

A memory about him popped into my head when I heard of this. I wasn't sure my thought was correct until I verified it at Wikipedia. He was the youngest pitcher to play in a major league game at the age of 15 during WWII after much of the team had left for the services.
I'm old enough to have listened to games on radio when he played. If memory serves me I think he started both ends of a double header that I listened to vs the Pirates
