Can't turn off blue light circle

Watching the Saints @ Texans game my HR20-700 stopped responding to the remote. So waiting for a commercial I turned the unit off, then back on. When it turned on the screen was completely black except for the PIG (I have my harmony remote programmed to go directly to the Now Playing List when I turn it on).

So I hit the RBR.

Now I can't turn off the front lights. Pushing the buttons to the left and right of the circle do nothing. Should I just restart again?

Either hit Exit first or switch to a channel that doesn't have interactive services available. This is a bug that DirecTV hasn't fixed yet.
