My brothers

Need yer help on an H20, and hope you don't mind me asking here.

My bud has an 5LB dish, 6 x 8 Zinwell, etc etc.

Has 4 TV's in his "Bar Area" so we can easily switch lines into the boxes

One of his H20's will not see a satalite 103b (from memory), and it appears this is where our locals / MPEG4 channels come from.

I immediately suggested it was a bad BBC but no, when the line / BBC is switched to another H20 it gets all channels fine.

We did resets, redid the Satalite set up, pulled the card, called D* and asked them to reset on their end all to no avail.

All other functions and channels are fine.

Any suggestions?

TIA

Eddie

The easiest thing would be to say either bad H20 or it's really an H10.

Assuming neither is the case I would suspect the connection at the H20. Perhaps tightening the connection might help. Are there any signals at all coming from 103b?

Are you saying that you can't even test signal strength on 103b? If so, try forcing a software download.

Oh, BTW this is being moved to the HD receiver forum.

Signal strength shows zero on 103b

How do you force a software download on an H20?

Thanks

Restart receiver, either through menu or red button. At first blue screen after it powers back up, hit 02468. If after a few seconds you don't see a screen that indicates it's looking for software, try again.
