Hello MY FRIENDS,
First IF your traveling to see loved ones, "WE" hope that you & your loved ones have a nice, happy, but S A F E Thanksgiving & come back
safe ok.)
Have a question about an previous receiver, ( a D11/500 model) this was with my regular programing & original satellite programing.this was WHEN DTV allowed us to own the equipment.

Question
1, Should be kept as a "'backup"/

2, If nec, WOULD it work with present the 5 lnb dish & Hd package?

3,Is there any reason to keep it or should it just be dumped in the dumpster?

NO, DTV doesn't want it, i sent it back to them WHEN i purchased my new system,(FROM DTV), DTV sent it back to me,

Thank you for the help & information
&
again STAY SAFE over the holiday,
clato

Ebay...just sold one of those receivers there myself. Otherwise, if you think you may ever need another receiver ever, just keep it. You will have to pay the mirroring fee and activate when you want to use it. It will work with the 5lnb dish, it just won't pick up any of the MPEG4 channels.

If you don't end up ebaying it, send it to a place that recycles electronics. Don't just throw an old receiver in the trash!
