I am going to be installing a 3rd DVR and I don't have a multiswitch.
I have an R15 I am going to use that Directv never took back when I upgraded to my HR20.
I know I have to use a Zinwell to pass the new satillite signals.
Does Directv offer one for free if I am adding a room and don't have them install it?
Do they offer free installation for an excisting reciever?
Or do I have to buy one?
If I have to buy one, where is the best place to get one (cheapest):)

I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think D* will come out for free just to relocate an old receiver and provide the switch for free. Do you need any cable run?

The best place to purchase is www.solidsignal.com . You might be able to talk them into giving you a credit for the equal value of the switch if you buy, but even that might be tough to do.

If you already have a line run to the location you want to use the 3rd dvr, then yes the installation of the 2nd line and the multiswtich is free. If there is no previous line run to that location then both lines and the multiswitch can be installed for $49.

It would be cheaper for me to buy a multiswitch at around $60 and install it myself.

I would call Directv but I hate dealing with CS

zinwell makes 2 6x8 multiswitches, make sure you buy the wb68. you can get one off ebay for like 20 bucks
