A few months ago I upgraded my HR10-250 with a HR20. The HR10-250 has sat idle since then.

A couple of nights ago I decided to swap out the Sony SAT-T60 in my bedroom with the HR10-250. The SAT-T60 worked without issue. The HR10-250, when used in a different location in the house, worked without issue. Now I'm getting a "searching for signal on Sat 2" error. Any ideas?

I've swapped the RG6 cables at the back of the HR10-250 and still get the "searching for signal on Sat 2".... I get a picture on every channel that I've tried though there was a time when no channels came in and all I had was a light gray screen.

If you're using an SVideo connection from the HR10 to your TV, try using a different connection instead (e.g. composite). Some folks have reported this "loss of tuner 2" problem when using the HR10's SVideo output.

Ah ha! I bet that's it. This is the one TV that is hooked up via svideo. I'll change to component or composite tonight. Thanks!!!

I have this same problem with mine. The only way I found to correct it was to reboot the HR10. I will try this fix and see if it works for me as well. Thanks!
