SO, every couple of days I see a protection plan thread pass through here, and then I was reading the lightning strike thread and I got hit with a thought.

If for any reason the wb616 that'll be arriving via UPS in a week/2 is affected by a lightning storm... Any guesses on wether or not the protection plan will cover it? Ironwood told me I could buy one for $230, got one on SolidSignal for $120...
Technically, I think "acts of god" isnt covered by the protection plan, but they'd send the tech out to me at no charge... Would the tech replace the switch?!?

He would but if it ever happens make sure the CSR puts it a as a line item on the work order because otherwise he won't show up with one.

Service calls are "special request" work orders, and therefore do not have "line items", only installs or ugprade work orders can have "line items" a service call is to restore service only, the tech would have to "close" the work order with something like " replaced ms" , nothing can be added to a service call work order, only the "reason" that the service call is setup for, such as "sfss" or 119 problem, etc...these are not "line items" but reasons for the service call....
