View Full Version : Dishplayer and annual subscription
I just re-upped my annual subscription and there was no talk of a PVR fee, just the AT100 and a second receiver fee.
So is this a way to avoid the PVR fee for a few extra months, or are the rumors of the pending reinstatement of the dishplayer fees just rumors?
I did not know that an annual subscription was an option with the PTV fee.
Geez! Not ANOTHER thread on the DP monthly fee. That makes at least three. And on the wrong forum, at that! :eek2:

If you prepay your subscription for a year do you get out of the pvr fee for the rest of the year?

See my post above. Your question is basically the same as the one that started the thread and the same answer applies. There is no such thing as an anual fee for PTV so no you can't do it.

Well Dennis, now you have me confused. Locals "aren't available annually" either is what I've heard in this group and another group. However, when the price went from $4.99 to $5.99, E* did NOT send me a bill for the extra dollar for each month of the last couple of months of my annual subscription. Now when I renewed, it was at the higher rate. ;)
I guess this scenario is possible, but it seems strange. It sounds like you are saying that people who currently pay the dishplayer fee would be allowed to pay for their programming annually, but would still get a monthly bill for PTV? Is that what you mean?
I guess we'll see in a couple of months. :D
Yes we will see ina few months that is the most reasonable statement made by anyone (including me) on the whole DP mess in quite some time.
