HR20-700c-r

I am getting my defective HR20 replaced and the lady told me an HR20-700c-r is being showed as delivered to me. Is that the silver or black one? I thought they were 700s or b, but I could be wrong...

It will be silver. Not sure what the c is for, but the r would designate refurbished.

The black units were a very limited run. I haven't heard of anyone around here getting one since they initially appeared.

I believe the C is for 'conditioned' not certain of the 'r'

There were very few -100B units produced to begin with - so getting a refurb is a "one in a million" shot. Someone recently posted that they got a refurb 100B - but that's the only post I've seen about it...so I guess we need about 900,000 more posts before we see another one... ;)

As you guys usually are, your right, I got the silver. Bummer, I really want a black one since my Onkyo receiver and DVD are black and the Silver looks out of place.

I might just have to go out and buy one...

If you're looking for a black one you're much more likely to find an HR21. If OTA reception isn't a big thing for you, it might make you happier.

ALL HR20-700s are silver.
Some HR20-100 came black [-100B]
ALL HR21-700 are black.
