A/V Volume, Mute and Power Control...

I have had both an R10 and HR10-250 DTiVo units for two years. When I originally set them up, I could program my SONY A/V receiver’s Volume, Mute and Power (on/off) using the supplied codes. After replacing my remote with another (identical) TiVo remote, I went to program it for the same A/V functions. However, I am only now able to control Volume and Mute, not Power on my SONY receiver.

Anybody know where I can locate the proper codes to control my SONY A/V receiver’s on/off POWER function as well?

Tivo remote (black peanut style) codes for Sony are 1005, 1025, 1059, 1090, 1095, 1099, 1107, 1145,1 1169, 1170, 1209, 1216

If its a Directv universal that can control Dtv receiver/ Av1/ Av2/ Tv

For Sony Stereo receivers i have, 31058, 31441, 31258, 31759, 30158, 31658,
31858, 30474, 31349, 31558, 31442, 31758
For Sony Amps, 30689, 30815, 30220

Thanks. I'll try these when I get home (though the 1005, 1025, 1059 codes look familiar from the Settings/Remote Control page). I suspect these all control Volume and Mute, but not POWER.

When programming the tivo peanut for TV & Audio receiver power and audio receiver volume & mute, you need to enter 3 steps not just two:

1. press and hold DIRECTV/Tivo & TV POWER, until the light remains on, enter the TV code

2. press and hold DIRECTV/Tivo & MUTE, enter the Audio receiver code

3. press and hold DIRECTV/Tivo & TV POWER, enter Audio receiver code again
