A team sport, cricket is played with two teams of 11 players each. A game of cricket can last anywhere from an afternoon to several days. Similar to baseball, teams bat in successive innings and attempt to score runs, while the opposing team fields and attempts to bring an end to the batting team's innings. The team with the most runs wins.

I couldn't really stand to watch a cricket game. I used to watch alot of them on local TV (and I also grew up playing it) where I used to live but it's really gruelling to sit down and watch for 8 hours a day. The shortest match is a one day, and a real "test match" is 3 or 5 days. I have better things to do with my time, thank you.

But it will be good for hardcore cricket fans though. You find alot of them among the Indian, Paki and Caribbean (West Indies) communities.

I'm not much of a Cricket fan myself, although I haven't watched alot of it either.

It is nice to see Dish add another optional sports package for it's customers. :)
