View Full Version : Question on HDMI Test/Settings
Why are the "HDMI/ON OFF", "COLOR SPACE", and "HDCP ENABLE" grayed out in the HDMI Test menu screen? I was uploading some log files the other night from the analysis menu and I hit the HDMI test option. The TV which that 622 was hooked to is an older HD monitor with no HDMI. It's hooked up via component video. It seemed all of the settings mentioned above were adjustable. I then went to my other 622 in the bedroom which is hooked up via HDMI to play with those options. It seems that once hooked to HDMI they are set and can't be changed. Is this the case? If so why, and what determines how they are set?
Possibily so if the HDMI handshake failed (as it would if not connected) the values could be altered to make the handshake successful, in a test environment. Just a guess why they are enabled when no HDMI connection and disabled when HDMI is active. I have no real knowledge of this.

Those complaining about a washed-out picture over HDMI will no doubt be happy to hear that.
