Why do some college football games have a title of "College Football", while others use the "Team A @ Team B" format? I see both used, seemingly randomly, even on the same channel (ESPN's channels, for example).
Real-world example for tomorrow's games (times are Central):
11:00am : 206 ESPNHD: College Football
6:45pm : 206 ESPNHD: Pittsburgh @ West Virginia

I think they use the "College Football" designation when they haven't decided which game to show - meaning they have two or three to choose from and haven't finalized the game for your area.

That could be true in some cases, but it doesn't appear to be in others. For example, that first game is the CUSA championship game, the teams are listed, etc.
