Recently, I retired two-two tuner Directivos and replaced them with an HR20-100 and an H20-100. I have 7 receivers in my home. They are wired to two wb68's with power passing splitters. Until the receiver swap, everything was working fine. Now, on some of the receivers (even the ones I didn't swap out), I occasionally get 771 errors. When I go to check the signal strength on 101, every other transponder is at zero. Usually just on tuner 2, but sometimes on tuner 1. An immediate cure for this problem is to reintroduce an old non subscribed box into the switch on an open port to one of the wb68s, and all trasnponders at zero come back to usual signal strengths in the 90s on all receivers. What's going on? Thoughts? Would this go away if I installed a wb616?

Probably so. I was having the same problem, with basically the same setup. Intermitent 771 that would dance around the house. One day it would be 771 in the LR for a few minutes, a day or two later it would be in one of the bedrooms.

I changed out the lnb, dish, 6x8s, etc. The problem didn't stop until I scaled back my setup (did away with the power passing splitters and the second 6x8). From the process of elimination, my guess is that my problem was that one of the splitters was intermittently bad, but I haven't gotten a chance yet to buy any more to see for sure.
