3/4 DVRs reboot randomly at the same time

I have 4 DVRs three of which are DirecTivo units. Just today past noon all three of my DirecTivo units rebooted at the same time but my HR20-100 did not.

If this is a bad multiswitch don't you think the HR20-100 would also have rebooted?

Any ideas what could be causing this?

Is it happening often? Are your DVRs powered using an uninterruptable power supply (UPS)? A brief power glitch could cause this problem.

It happens about once every two weeks. Two out of my four DVR's are UPS protected but one of those rebooted too. Is it possible that static build-up could be causing this?

I have no logic to back this up. But it would seem to have to be something all the DVR's have in common. Besides power (which is certainly #1 on the list)....any chance a Multi-Switch could be somehow causing this.

IIRC, most people with Directivos are still having reboot issues.

Sounds like brown-outs and maybe the HR20-100 has a better low end treshold but, for this to be so; the battery in the UPS, serving the rebooting DVR, would have to be worn out or dead.
