Late night on satellite

There was this guy that used to be on C-band late at night. He sat in a chair and preached some kind of his own view on the world or religion or something. He had his glasses over his nose, would occasionally wear a hat, and would write scribblings on a chalkboard. Once in a while he would go to some film of him riding a prancing horse or something. Does anyone remember his name? Or what has become of him?

He was one of the only televangelists that was at least somewhat honest with the audience. He would say something like; Send me your money, I need it! Don't ask me what I'm going to do with it, once you send it to me it's mine!
