I saw an ad for Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer for tomorrow night (Tues) on CBS. It's not showing in the Guide as HD, but the CBS ad said it's been remastered and will be shown in HD. Might be worth a look to see what they do with it.

Last year it was modified from the original version... Content was removed and replaced.

The scene during the "Misfit" song, where Hermey punches the snow sculpture of the Head Elf in the face and it crumbles, was cut out and replaced with an extension of Rudolph and Hermey walking across the log and sliding down the snow sculpture... Also removed was the fish spitting water in their faces when they are looking at their reflection.

Unbelieveable. :nono:

Id go get the DVD for this one. It looks like it was modified even further this year. Im going back to the original DVD to chk. I hate it when they change things... Why does CBS feel they have the right to modify a classic such as this? :confused:

Im assuming violence, etc... I guess punching a snowman in the face was too much. Ugh. :rolleyes:

I sent a letter to CBS last year, but did not receive a response.

It was probably the same group that removed smoking from Tom & Jerry. :mad:

It looked fantastic, I mean really fantastic, but I was very disappointed in missing the last 4 minutes. I was watching about 30 minutes late, and jumped out to live and tried to catch the end. But my selected tuner was on another channel and I couldn't get to it. Must be a problem with the DLB on my HR20! ;)

The OP said it was suppose to be in HD. It wasn't here is St. Louis. Was it anywhere else?

Wasn't in HD here either in NC.
