Feds enlist hackers of D* and E* to foil piracy rings

NEW YORK -- Federal prosecutors will tell a U.S. District Court in Tampa today of a plea deal with a man they call one of the most skillful pirates of DirecTV and EchoStar signals. The deal includes his agreement to help them crack several international computer-chip-hacking groups.

Like the old addage goes - it takes a thief to catch a thief.

If any of you have seen "Catch Me If You Can," it is similar to the FBI bringing Frank Abagnale out of prison to catch check fraud perpetrators.

Not a bad idea.
